Chef Ellen grew up in Sioux Falls, SD spending many nights around the dinner table with her family. After cooking as a hobby for several years, she moved to Colorado to attend the Auguste Escoffier School for Culinary Arts in Boulder, graduating in 2014. Rooted in Sioux Falls, she moved home shortly after graduation and working in area restaurants before taking a hiatus and starting a family.
In 2018, Chef Ellen: Personal Chef Services started as an in-home personal chef service focusing on food allergy and specialty diets, and quickly evolved to include meal delivery easily adapted to personal preferences.
Passionate about sharing her love for food and building a strong local food culture, Chef Ellen enjoys getting involved in area events. She now lives in the home she grew up in with her husband and two children, sharing dinner around the table in the same dining room, making new memories.

Chef Ellen is on the list for the Live Well Sioux Falls‘s Healthier Choice Program! The Healthy Place Program helps consumers make healthier choices by denoting restaurants who offer options based on set criteria created by Live Well. The goal is to make being healthy a little easier for the residents and visitors of Sioux Falls. We understand that life is busy and eating out is part of that, however; that doesn’t mean it can’t be a healthy part.
Chef Ellen also holds an International Certified Food Safety Manager Certificate (ICFSM) through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals.
